Oftentimes, these types will see themselves as doing the will of God, while I simply see them as a stumbling block for other people to come to faith. It was people like this who made me want nothing to do with God for many years, and it was - of all people - a group of Roman Catholic nuns who were able to show me that God really isn't the homophobic, grumpy, mean guy he's sadly made out to be sometimes.
